Lepperton School

At Lepperton School we empower our learners and school community through positive relationships 'learning to learn together'. We believe the school is at the heart of learning in our Lepperton Community.

Learning at Lepperton School has been designed to allow students to learn their academic and personal goals. It is designed to engage learners in the ongoing and intrinsic pursuit of learning, as they progress throughout their life and equip our students with resilience which will enable them to succeed in the future. Learning is designed to support our students and parents to provide the best learning experiences possible.

Our curriculum has been created to meet the needs of all our learners, it empowers them to build upon their wide knowledge and skills base. It values positive relationships as the foundation learning utilising each other in positive ways throughout the learning process (tuakana-teina), both as learners ourselves and as teachers (ako). The curriculum develops self-regulated learners who know their goals, their next learning steps and can reflect on the learning process. Knowing ourselves as learners, how we learn best and seeking challenges to ensure we are the best we can be.

At Lepperton School we believe that our students have great character, will be communicators to their peers, teachers, our community and the wider world, they can collaborate to learn and achieve, are critical thinkers and problem solvers, our learners are creative and are role model citizens in our community. At Lepperton we empower our learners to achieve and develop these dispositions.
