We have an awesome school kapahaka group. They practice once a week during class time, in preparation for the annual Puanga Festival.
We are very lucky to have Lepperton Playcentre on the school grounds. Playcentre is an early childhood centre run by parents. They have sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 9am to 12pm. Contact Sarah for more information ph 7520708 or visit their facebook page: Lepperton Playcentre
We have optional t-shirts ($22) and hoodies ($45), and compulsory bucket hats ($18), available to order from the school office.
Gumboots and slippers are a good combination on cold, wet days and greatly assist us in keeping the environment clean and tidy.
We are very lucky to have the Puke Ariki Library Bus visit us every second Wednesday (check the calendar for dates). To issue books children must have a Puke Ariki Library card.
Skool Loop App
Download the Skool Loop App, select Lepperton School and you can send a text, email or call the school to tell us if your child is going to be absent. The school calendar and newsletter are also available on the app.
During terms 1 and 4 students are required to wear the school branded sun hat. We have a 'no hat, no play' policy and children who do not have a hat will have to stay under the shade of the trees during morning tea and lunch.
If your child is unwell, they should be kept at home. If your child requires short term medicine to be administered at school, you must complete the Administering Medicine form at the office. All medicine must be handed in to the school office, not be kept in a child’s bag.
At Lepperton we have our own swimming pool which we use for swimming lessons everyday in Term 1. The pool is available for use by the community in the summer months - a key can be obtained from the school office for a one off fee for the season.
Sports & Activities
We offer a wide range of sports and activities including (among other things) netball, soccer, basketball, hockey and touch rugby.
We encourage parents to name all of their child’s clothing. We have a lost property stand under the covered area by the playground that you are welcome to check for clothing items that your child may have lost. All named items will be returned. Unclaimed clothing is donated to a charity at the end of each term.
